Rohnert Park Fire Truck Tries to Chase Down Suspected Drunk Motorcyclist
Public Safety Officers arrested Lawrence Gould, 37, of Rohnert Park on suspicion of DUI, possession of narcotics, evading an officer and reckless driving. He ran from officers "just 'cause," and has two prior DUI convictions.
If you saw a fire truck chasing a motorcyle on Thursday evening, you weren't seeing things.
According to a press release, two Rohnert Park Public Safety officers in a fire truck noticed 37-year-old Rohnert Park resident Lawernce Gould fly by their vehicle in a motorcycle at 7:15 p.m. on Aug. 16.

After tailing Gould, they noticed him riding erratically, tailgating cars and burning his back tires out when stop lights turned green, almost crashing into two other vehicles in the process. The officers then tried to pull him over, at which point he accelerated away. A patrol sergeant joined the chase, which ended at Gould's driveway.
Gould was arrested at his home, and according to the press release, told officers he ran away from them "just 'cause." Gould was officially arrested on suspicion of DUI, possession of narcotics, evading an officer and reckless driving. He has two prior DUI convictions on his record.
