Library to Showcase Local Photos

Area artists will be honored at a reception Wednesday, Aug. 15, at "Photography Show 2012" at the . The public is invited to attend from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Armando Flores Meeting Room.

All are Sonoma County photographers who will display some of their best work at this annual exhibit.

They are: John Hanses and William Theis of Cotati; Jacki Gail of Cazadero; Clyde D. Thomas of Petaluma; Dennis Bolt, Michael Ecton and Peter Krohn of Sebastopol, and Jane Baron, Ira Gelfman, Janet Gelfman and Venus Maher of Santa Rosa.

All are invited to view the work of these outstanding photographers noon to 6 p.m. from Aug. 14 through 25. The library is closed Sundays and Mondays, and it also will close early at 3 p.m. on the last day.

Sponsors are Friends of the Library; the Library Art Association, and R.P. Association for the Arts. The group plans a mixed-media show in March.
