September 26:

Cliff Hugo on Jazz in the style of Funk

SSU bass instructor Cliff Hugo has performed and recorded with an amazingly diverse roster of artists, including Ray Charles, Solomon Burke and Neil Peart. He is currently a member of the legendary art-rock group, Supertramp. He joins SSU Latin Band director and drummer extraordinaire Kendrick Freeman to extoll the virtues of FUNK. Bring your axe to this interactive forum!

Jazz Forum at SSU is a unique performance/master class designed to expose jazz majors and guests to a wide variety of jazz styles. Guest musicians perform their music with commentary in a relaxed atmosphere.
