Insecta-Palooza! 2011

“Metamorphosis” is the theme of the 3rd Annual Insecta-Palooza at Sonoma State University from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29 in Darwin Hall.

Admission costs $10 for adults. Students with identification, seniors, SSU alumni, and SSU faculty and staff cost $5. Children 12 and younger cost $2, or free for children who have submitted an insect “one breath” poem. Cash or checks only.

At this event designed for all ages, there will be interactive exhibits, activities and seminars exploring entomology, everything from insectivores to medical entomology, garden insects, and aquatic invertebrates.

Insecta-Palooza benefits the Entomology Outreach Program of the SSU field stations and nature preserves. The program conducts outreach to classrooms, docent training and lectures, and provides exhibits for public events.
