Join Classical and Contemporary Dance with Tamara Grose for two nights in June with "Alice in Wonderland" at Spreckels.
This whimsical contemporary ballet is inspired by the work of Tim Burton, Lewis Carroll's 1865 fantasy novel "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland," and its 1871 sequel "Through the Looking-Glass," and music by Danny Elfman. CCD’s adaptation of the story begins at a garden party where Alice and her sisters are in subtle conflict. Alice is soon distracted by a young guest seeminly morphing into a White Rabbit!
Down the rabbit hole they go and so begins Alice’s adventures, where she learns the inevitabality of change and the value of compassion. The performance will delight children and adults of all ages.
