Rich Block, Poor Block: How Do Rohnert Park and Cotati Neighborhoods Compare?

What are the annual median household incomes in different parts of town?

Drive through Rohnert Park and Cotati and you might notice that some neighborhoods are more affluent than others. But just how wide is the disparity between different parts of town?

A new data-based website, Rich Blocks, Poor Blocks provides some answers to that question. The site uses U.S. census information compiled from the 2007-2011 American Community Survey to show median household income and monthly rents by census tract.

The highest neighborhoods in Rohnert Park are the blocks surrounding Foxtail Golf Club. They report median incomes of $77,000 a year.

Near Magnolia Park, households make about $74,000 annually.

The homes between Southwest Boulevard and Rohnert Park Expressway have annual incomes of $44,000.

The homes west of Highway 101 have annual incomes ranging from $55,000 to $68,000.

In Cotati, median annual incomes vary from $55,000 to $63,000.

The range for median household income in California is $28,000 to $125,000 a year. The statewide middle-class income range is $53,264 to $68,300.
