A Spooktacular Look at Halloween Events in and around Rohnert Park & Cotati

Halloween is just about here! There are quite a few great things to see and do in and around Rohnert Park and Cotati from family friendly affairs to things that will scare even the grown-ups. Here is our Halloween Guide for 2012.

 

Family Events

The Mostly Magic Spooktacular! This show takes places one-night-only on Friday, October 26 at 7 p.m. This family-fun magic & variety show is always entertaining for kids and adults. Tickets are $10 for kids under 12 and $15 for adults. It will be held at the Rohnert Park Community Center and the doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Halloween at Howarth Park - Friendly ghosts and goblins can stop by Howarth Park for trick-or-treating and their annual costume parade on Saturday, October 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The train and carousel will be up and running with pass options from $6 to $10.

Trunk or Treat - On Saturday, October 27 you can enjoy a safe, free family fun night with games, crafts, and a potluck dinner. There will be a costume contest and more. It will be held at Sonoma Square at 1460 East Cotati Avenue from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Apple Blossom Halloween Carnival - It is the 55th Annual Apple Blossom event in Graton on Sunday, October 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This year's theme is "The Pirates of the Haunted Orchard". There will be carnival rides, games, a 5th Grade Haunted House, and more! It is located at 700 Watertrough Road in Sebastopol.

 

Pumpkin Patches

The Santa Rosa Pumpkin Patch - They named it 'Santa Rosa' but it sits on the edge of Rohnert Park just south of the Rohnert Park Expressway and Stony Point Road intersection. Featuring a corn maze, petting zoo, pumpkin patch, and lots of cool stuff for kids this is a great addition to the patch options.

Adobe Pumpkin Farm - An annual tradition for many Sonoma County Residents, the Adobe Pumpkin Farm is a great family stop. They have a huge pumpkin patch, corn maze, a ton of jumpees, and even feature a haunted house and a few small shops.

The Petaluma Pumpkin Patch - Featuring the Amazing Corn Maze (one of the best corn mazes each year), the Petaluma Patch is a great place for fun and pumpkins. With animals, kid friendly activities, and one-heck of a corn maze this is a nice spot to stop before Halloween.

 

Haunts and Scares

Blind Scream Haunted House - An annual event for many that will scare the pants off of you. Not suitable for kids. They are open Friday through Sunday and are located at 2770 Corby Avenue in Santa Rosa.

Wicked West Ghost Town - This was voted one of the top 5 yard haunts in the world in 2010 and 2011. This is a must see haunt for anyone who can handle the scares. They are open through Halloween and admission is free, but it is not suitable for children.

 

Grown Up Fun

Zepparella Halloween - The ladies of Zepparella will be rocking at the Last Day Saloon to celebrate Halloween on Friday, October 26 at 9:30 p.m. They will have a costume contest and good times.

Monster Mash Halloween Bash - On Saturday night stop by the Rocks Bar & Lounge for their Halloween Dance party. DJ Stevie B spins the music and there will be cash prizes for the top 3 costumes.

Spook Spanky's - Counterbalance will be rocking the Cotati watering hole Saturday night and they will be having a costume contest at midnight.

Halloween at the Mystic - Wonderbread 5 will kick off a Halloween party at the Mystic Theatre starting at 9:45 p.m. on Saturday night. Tickets are $25 each.

THINK globally, but ACT locally! Purchase from those who keep more dollars in our community! That ain't Walmart!
